The grand event of “Satya Stree Samman 2025” was held in Jaipur to honor 20 women who have made outstanding contributions to society. This prestigious award ceremony was organized by Satya Foundation Charitable Trust and Satya Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (SIMHANS). Women doing inspirational work in various fields were honored in categories like leadership, mental health, social change, education, art-culture, entrepreneurship, environmental protection, healthcare and women empowerment.
On this occasion, Dr. Anita Kothari, Program Director of Arna Jharna: The Thar Desert Museum, Jodhpur, was honored with the “Arts, Culture and Media Impact Award” under ” Satya Stree Samman 2025″. This honor was given to her for her exemplary contribution in the preservation and promotion of the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. She has developed Arna Jharna as an active educational center, carrying forward the legacy of Padma Bhushan awarded ethnomusicologist Komal Kothari.
Chief Guest and Distinguished Guest
Dr. Premchand Bairwa (Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Rajasthan) graced the grand event as the Chief Guest .
Malini Agarwal, IPS (Director General – Civil Rights & Anti-Human Trafficking) and Dr. Alka Gaur (President, Forty Women Wing) graced the event as Guests of Honour.
Chairperson of the organization , Dr. Prakash Giri said that the objective of this prestigious award ceremony is to honor women who have made outstanding contributions to the society.
Contribution of Dr. Anita Kothari
Dr. Anita Kothari has transformed Arna Jharna: The Thar Desert Museum from being just an exhibition space to an influential media platform that promotes traditional folk art, music and environmental conservation on a wide scale. Her efforts include a unique collection of folk musical instruments, traditional handicraft workshops and interactive sessions on folklore, which benefit thousands of students every year.
His continuous efforts have established this museum as an important centre in the cultural landscape of Rajasthan. His work is becoming a powerful medium to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of Rajasthan and connect the younger generation with their cultural roots.
